Our Business Plan

The Business that we would like to open is called The Spot. It is going to be a modern up to beat restaurant, that will also include a full lounge with a live DJ at night. The restaurant will have a modern/futuristic appearance. the spot’s main attraction will be a conveyor belt that will have all our fresh appetizers on it for quick dish before you main meal. The appetizers will be served on microchip plates that will transmit the price to the back and it will tell us who it went to and how long it has been on the conveyor belt so that if it has been on to long we can take it off to keep the belt full with hot and fresh food. The customer will just have to take the food that looks good to them off the belt while it passes them, the rest of the resturante will carry out as a normal resturant with waitresses and waitors. This restaurant will also feature a full bar along with its own brewery. In the brewery we are going to brew 10 of your own beers, and have ?? other types on tap. We will also sell the ever popular mini german boot. We are going to serve exotic drinks as well. Our bartenders will also be certified flair bartenders. We are also going to acquire a full bar license. This will allow us to brew our own beer, provide a fully stocked bar, and run a night club. In the bar we will have 20 plasma TV’s that will play sports all day. In the Lounge we will have couches and tables for people to hang out on. We will also offer free wifi.

Europe

For the past weeks I have been in Europe visiting Italy and Greece. It is something I will always remember and I have made some great memories with my good friends. But it is impossible to say what was my favorite, I mean how can I choose between the Rome and the ruins of Pompeii, or Florence and Delphi its cant be done. So instead I and going to give a brief over view of the whole trip.
Our flight left early in the morning so Tobbey, Steven, and I all left the night before and stayed at my big sister’s house who lives close to the LAX airport. So the next morning we all left for the airport.
We arrived in Italy the next morning, we drove to this little town where they were have some sort of festival. After shopping for a few hours we went to our hotel where we meet a another school group from Dallas. The next day we all went to this place called “The Five Cities” we had to hike a long way to get there but it was fun. While we were there we ran into the Dallas group and hung out with them for a while.
The we took the long road to Florence. While we were there it was pouring rain. While most of the group went to see the David; Steven, Sean, Tobbey, and I went to the Serial Killer Museum. It is crazy what people can do. Then we took a tour around the city, and saw all the beautiful things there. That night when we went to dinner we had to walk to the restaurant in the rain.
The next day we went to Rome and saw the Vatican, then that night we went on a night tour of the city. It was amazing seen Rome lit up at night. The next day we went to the Colosseum, and the Roman Forum, and of course it was raining. After a long day of walking around in the rain we finally left to the next place.
We stayed in a little hotel by the beach, were we meet some cool Australians. The night we got there we hung out with the Australian girls for a long time then the next morning they came and woke us up early in the morning. That day we were going to go to the top of a volcano but we couldn’t because it was snowing. The next day we went to Pompeii, it was amazing to think that the whole place was buried under ash.
Then we went to on the ferry to Greece. That is were we meet some of the coolest of the trip. They were from Canada, and my four favorites were Axel, Wes, Destiny, and Robin. They were all really awesome people. For the rest of the trip we all hung out. When we got to Greece we went to Delphi and meet some girls from Las Vegas. They were really cool and that night we all hung out. First we went out with the Vegas girls they when they had to go back to their hotel we went and hooked up with the Canadians.
The next day we went to the ruins of Delphi and saw were the Oracle was located. Then we hiked up what felt like a million stairs to see the stadium where the athletes would compete. Then we drove to Athens. It was kind of cool but the best part was when I knocked out Steven’s tooth we ran around town at 11 o’clock trying to find super glue to put his tooth back in. Well finally we found some glue to put the tooth back in.
Then we went on the cruise. The cruise was awesome, we meet a lot of new cool people. We got to go off the ship and explore the islands that we stopped at. We also went to Turkey which was cool. We went to the disco that they had on the ship almost every night with both the Canadians, and the people from Vegas.
We got off the ship in Athens and went straight to the Acropolis, while there we saw them rebuilding it. I personally didn’t like this because now its not all ancient but a mix with modern building. When we got to the hotel we say the Canadians again and said our final goodbyes. The next day we got up went on a plane and in 14 hours we were home. Then I slept for the next two days.

Marketing Director

If I was the marketing director of AVC school I would first off advertise. I would advertise mainly in churches and youth groups. I would give discounts to pastors whos children go here, the reason I would do this is because the pastors will tell their congregation about us and they to would want to send their kids here. Of course not every student is right for this place so I would require extencive interviews and chose then who to let in or not to let in.
Also another thing I would do is try to get advertisments form companies. For example if a company donates money we could put their name on the kiosk. Or like what Hisperia Christian has where they have banners in their gym of companies that donated money to the school. Of course our gym is to small for that but we can find another place to put them. and of course we are not going to just let any company put ads up, I mean I dont think the parents would like it to much if we had a beer poster up or anything like that but we could use companies from around the high desert or other places like that.
I believe that these are the ways that if we really wanted to make some good money this is how we could do it.

Ethics

In my opinion I think that I would not cheat to get the grade. Of course I cant say what I would do until I was in that situation. I think that my morals would over come the temptation to cheat.
The only reason that people cheat is because they are not prepared. But for my self I do not proctastinate that often. But when I do I deal with the choices I make. We all have to live with the choices we make.
Bending the rules is never okay. No matter the reason, we all have to live with what we do. If we bend the rules for one thing than we will start to bend the rules for every thing then when will it end.
When we compromise our morals we compromise ourselves as human beings. When we start to bend the rules we are sining there is no way around that.

Best Business,

When I hear this question a couple things come to mind about what a great business should have. First is they should have top of the line products, no one wants to buy something that is out dated. Also great business' need good customer service, nothing can make a business lose customers like rude people when you have a problem. Some of the business' that I believe are good business are: apple, verizon, and starbucks.
The reason I picked apple as one of my top three business' is because one they are always coming out with new and better things. the people who work at the stores are extremly nice, and always want to see you walk away happy. Also another great thing about apple is they offer student discounts which is great for someone who is planing to attend college very soon.
The reason i chose verizon as one of my top three is because of their customer service. It is one of the best that I have ever interacted with. you can just call them up and they will do everything they can to help, without the long on hold period.
The reason i chose Starbucks as my third choice is because of how they run. They got to the top by being the best in the business. They give their employees benifits, and stock option when almost no one else does. also if something is wrong they will fix it for you right away.
These are some of the greatest business in my opinion. they all have great products and great customer service.

My goals

First thing that I am going to do is attend college. When I go to college I plan to study business administration. In four years I will graduate with my BS and be on my way.
After I get my BS I plan to attend the culinary art school in Pasadena. I will study how to become a restaurant owner along with become a great chef. After a few years there I will be ready to start my career.
After I leave the culinary school I will get a job at a really nice restaurant. I will probably go for a job at at a nice hotel like the hilton or maybe the marriott. I will save up some money to invest in the stock market and try to make some money there.
After a few year I will have made up my plans for a restaurant and do my best to impress the board of directiors at a bank to get a start up loan.My restaurant will be located in either San Deigo or maybe Las Vegas. It will be a high class restauarant tha will be semi-formal.

25th amendment

After watching the West Wing i have decided to write about the 25th amendment. the 25th amendment is about how if the president is unable to do his duties he must sign a letter saying that the vice president is in charge. for example if the president is put under with anistesa he must sign a letter that puts the vice president in charge.
In the West Wing the president is shot and put under general anistesa. but he forgot one very important thing. he didn't sign the letter saying that the vice president took over. so for three whole hours there was no one in charge of the country. well you can see how bad this could be if someone had attacked us.
But the 25th has been used on several occations for example just recently Gorge Bush was put under anistesa to have a colonscopy. so he signed a letter that put Vice President Dick Cheney in charge untill he came out of it. this is a perfect example of how the 25th works.
The 25th Amendment provides two remedies when a president is disabled. 1. The president of his own volition may turn over the power of his office to the vice president. 2. The vice president, with the assent of a majority of the leading members of the cabinet, may make himself acting president on a temporary basis.
In 1985 President Reagan did not invoke the 25th Amendment, but he did at least seem to honor the intent of the law by notifying the leaders of Congress by letter that he was turning power over to the vice president. That a president can turn over his power without formally invoking the amendment is unclear and has never been tested in court. Oddly, Vice President Bush was not immediately informed about the letter giving him the power of the presidency.
